The house, set in a forest setting, offers a highly protective, cocooning atmosphere. The tree-centered structure surrounds the various living areas. The house is set on a south-east-facing slope. Its round shape complies with bioclimatic rules. It was designed by a team of wood structure engineers who pioneered bioclimatic design in 2000. It was built using healthy, natural materials: wood, raw earth, cellulose wadding insulation, clay paint and raw earth plaster
