IMAGES DU SALAGOU RETROSPECTIVE

This exhibition, commissioned by the Foyer Rural de Lieuran-Cabrières et Amis du Mas de Roujou, is the fruit of my encounters with the Lac du Salagou.

Encounters during the exceptional winter of 1986-87, when I photographed my friends walking on the lake, much of which was frozen over. Encounters with the incredible light over the landscape and surrounding villages, from morning to night, when I slept in my truck, which had been fitted out to be there in the early hours. And finally, encounters with human activities: as part of a commission from the Salagou, Cirque de Mourèze Grand Site in 2016, I was able to document the activities surrounding this place: fishing, sports, leisure activities, festivals? After all, the lake is an unspoilt place where people experience moments of happiness.
